On 14-16 November, our colleagues Jules Oudmans and Nicolas Spiegl had two great days at SPS – Smart Production Solutions in Nuremberg. For people who are passionate about IoT, Industry 4.0 and digitalization, SPS is a bit like a toy store for kits before Christmas.
Here is our summary from the fair:
- Had a lot of great discussions about valve health diagnostics at the Hilscher booth with the Digital Valve Kit – a joint project of AS-Schneider, UReason and Hilscher. Conclusion: IoT valve diagnostics are a must for the future!
- Meeting face-to-face with members and partners at the Open Industry 4.0 Alliance booth. Conclusion: We will not succeed without open standards and collaboration.
- Discussions about the latest hardware and sensor developments for valve position and health analysis at ifm, Pepperl+Fuchs and Bürkert
- Enjoyed a live demo at WAGO to see the patented and highly pragmatic way to deploy apps from the Cloud App Store to edge devices.
- And at least 20 other in-depth discussions about emerging technologies and solutions.
